Fallowing Dark, Our Sweetly (1990) is a neo-noir film directed by James Foley starring Jason Patric, Bruce Dern, and Rachel Ward. These are according to a 1955 Jim Thompson novel of the same title.

Ex-boxer Kevin "Kid" Collins occurs as vagrant & an escapee from either the mental hospital. He meets Fay Anderson, a widow woman, world health organization convinces him to help fix higher the neglected estate her ex-ex left. Her Uncle Bud talks a two two into helping kidnap the rich son for ransom, & the ex-fighter must produce decisions all about his loyalties & what is best.
